That’s why we’ve joined 𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗟𝗗, a project supported by the 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻’𝘀 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗹 and funded under the 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 “𝗥&𝗗 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 – 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻” call with a European contribution of around €160,000.
Together with leading technology partners and research centers, we’re developing an 𝗔𝗜-𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 capable of automatically detecting oils and lubricants spills in process water; a smart, non-contact solution that combines digital innovation with environmental care.
𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗟𝗗 will help protect natural resources, prevent contamination, and ensure more continuous, efficient production processes, cutting waste and improving plant reliability.

Cogne Acciai Speciali had the honor of hosting, for the first time at its Aosta headquarters, the third edition of the multi-year program promoted by 𝗔𝗕𝗜𝗘 – 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗘𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶, in collaboration with 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮.
Two days dedicated to 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 on key topics such as 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽, 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, with the participation of around 40 young talents from companies like Novartis, Nestlé, Kering Italia, and many others.

Two days dedicated to 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 on key topics such as 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽, 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, with the participation of around 40 young talents from companies like Novartis, Nestlé, Kering Italia, and many others.

Green Hydrogen in Cogne
The “Green Hydrogen in Cogne” project is moving forward with the completion of two strategic milestones:
Installation of Voith Kaplan turbines for the new hydropower plant on the Dora Baltea river.
Completion of rooftop photovoltaic system.
The renewable energy generated will power the AEM Nexus 1000 electrolyser, enabling the production of green hydrogen while progressively replacing natural gas in production processes.
These achievements mark another significant step in Cogne Acciai Speciali’s journey towards energy transition and decarbonization.
Project funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU.

Within our facility, a pair of kestrels has decided to nest—a beautiful sign that says a lot about the environment we've managed to create. An environment made not only of machinery and shifts, but also of respect, care, and coexistence with nature.
A huge thank you to our colleagues from Production, Maintenance, the 2002 department, and the Environmental Management Service, who—together with the staff of the Aosta Valley Forest Rangers and the Wildlife Recovery Center (C.R.A.S.)—have handled the situation with great sensitivity and cooperation, ensuring the well-being of the animals was fully respected.
Watching them grow here, amidst our daily work rhythms, reminds us that there is room for wildlife too, if we are willing to welcome it.
Thank you to everyone who proves, every day, that it's possible to work with skill—but also with heart.

OECD GLOBAL FORUM ON ANTI-CORRUPTION AND INTEGRITY: 'NEW WAYS TO FIGHT CORRUPTION
This week, CEO Massimiliano Burelli participated in the Business at OECD (BIAC) side event during the OCDE Global Forum on Anti-Corruption and Integrity, entitled “New Ways to Fight Corruption”.
He took part in a panel on the fundamentals of responsible business conduct to combat corruption, in particular on the topic “Making Integrity a Core Principle of Corporate Culture”.
"A culture of good governance is like high-quality stainless steel: it has a strong ethical core, is enriched by diverse perspectives, shaped by accountability and transparency, tempered by ethical decision-making, flexible to adapt and protected by effective risk management. Just as steel is a combination of science and craftsmanship, good governance requires deliberate cultivation and constant attention to ensure that it remains strong, reliable and resilient to the challenges of the future."
