ree

Cogne Acciai Speciali is proud to announce a new partnership with the SBK Basket School. This year, in addition to supporting the mini-basketball sector, our company will also back the Baskin team, registered in the interregional championship and coached by Mr. Kevin Olivotto.

For the 2024/2025 season, Cogne Acciai Speciali will be the Main Sponsor of both the Baskin team and the eight mini-basketball teams. All will carry the name “Cogne Acciai Speciali SBK”.

This new agreement represents a significant step forward in our company’s commitment to social inclusion and accessible sports for all.

As Main Sponsor, Cogne Acciai Speciali will provide the necessary financial support to allow the Aosta Valley Baskin team to participate in the interregional championship.

This collaboration aims to promote the values of Baskin, fostering a culture of inclusion that reflects the core principles of our company’s social commitment.

Cogne Acciai Speciali will not only provide financial support but will actively promote the initiative by leveraging its communication resources to raise awareness of Baskin among a wider audience, starting with our employees and their families.

Ilaria Fadda, Human Resources Director at Cogne Acciai Speciali, stated:“Supporting the registration of a team that practices a sport focused on breaking down barriers and valuing the ‘athlete’ is an opportunity for growth for our company. For Cogne Acciai Speciali, sport has always been a vehicle for positive change, capable of creating bonds and opportunities for everyone. Through this sponsorship, we reaffirm our commitment to a fairer and more inclusive society. Baskin is based on the values of equality, inclusiveness, and cooperation, promoting teamwork and respect for diversity. The SBK Basket School continues to grow and aligns increasingly with our company’s vision — a further distinctive trait that makes us feel close to the team.”

Stefania Minniti, President of SBK Basket School, commented:“We are very proud to associate our Baskin team with the brand of a company that has always demonstrated great social sensitivity and with which we have collaborated excellently since last season. Baskin is an inclusive sport that allows people with and without disabilities to play together based on their abilities, without focusing on disabilities. What we do as a team is promote inclusion through play, going beyond sport. I am confident that bringing the Cogne brand into such a wonderful project as Baskin will be a winning combination both sportingly and, even more so, ethically and socially. Additionally, we are proud to have renewed our partnership with Cogne for the eight mini-basket teams, which will also be called Cogne Acciai Speciali SBK this year.”

Baskin is a sport inspired by basketball but with specially designed rules that allow people with and without disabilities to play together on the same court. Born in Italy in the early 2000s, Baskin promotes inclusion and active participation for all players, regardless of their physical and cognitive abilities.
