Safety is our priority.
As a target measurement, Cogne Acciai Speciali has set the goal of a 10% annual reduction in both accident frequency and severity index
Safety is at the heart of our company policy and is our common aim, supported and shared by top management, managers, supervisors, general employees and Workers' Safety Representatives alike.
What we are doing to guarantee safety for our entire workforce:

upgrading of facilities and improvement of working environments;

rationalisation of access points and internal employee mobility;

constant and scheduled preventive maintenance;

information activities;

safety education and training across the board.
Over the last few years, Cogne Acciai Speciali has implemented an important Environmental and Safety Investment Plan. This includes the construction of the Doghouse enclosure in the Steelworks area, with the UHP melting furnace encapsulation project and the AOD Suction Hood.
Our projects have vastly improved working conditions, reduced noise disturbance and emissions in general.
