A great success for the inauguration of the photographic exhibition “Radici d’Acciaio” (“Steel Roots”), organized by Cogne Acciai Speciali in collaboration with the Municipality of Aosta.

The event, held yesterday evening at the Bocciofila of the Cogne District, attracted a large audience of around 150 people, and received warm appreciation from the public — confirming the Aosta community’s strong interest in the history of Cogne Acciai Speciali.

The evening began with a musical performance by three talented young local musicians: violinist Annalisa Foretier, trombonist Leonardo Dall’Anese, and pianist Madeleine Montrosset.

The inauguration concluded with a convivial aperitif offered by the Bocciofila’s bar, giving participants an opportunity to share a moment of community and conversation, in full harmony with the spirit of togetherness the exhibition aims to celebrate.

Monica Pirovano, General Director of Cogne Acciai Speciali, stated:“This inauguration is a moment of great pride for us. Steel Roots is more than just a collection of images — it is a tribute to the people who, through their work and dedication, helped grow both Cogne Acciai Speciali and the city of Aosta. It’s a chance to reflect on our past and, at the same time, to celebrate the present, strengthening that unbreakable bond that connects us to our territory. We are delighted to see such a strong turnout, a sign that the history of our company is truly part of the identity of the Aosta community.”

Clotilde Forcellati, Councillor for Social Policies, Housing, and Equal Opportunities, added:“Steel Roots is much more than an exhibition — it is a symbol of our collective identity, a celebration of the deep connection between Cogne Acciai Speciali, Aosta, and its people. To have 'steel roots' means being firmly anchored in a history of labor, sacrifice, and resilience — but also innovation, solidarity, and respect for the community. This exhibition does not only tell the story of a company; it reflects the path of a city that continues to grow without forgetting where it comes from. The Bocciofila of the Cogne District, chosen as the venue, represents both a boundary and a bridge — a place where the neighborhood meets the city center, uniting the different souls of Aosta and calling for the collaboration and cohesion that today, more than ever, are essential to our future.”

The exhibition “Steel Roots” will remain open to the public until November 23.
