HEAT TREATMENT

Wire rod is supplied heat treated according to each steel class, specially:
  • solution annealing (RS) for austenitic, duplex and precipitation hardening martensitic steels;

  • recrystallization annealing (RR) for ferritic steels;

  • globulization annealing (RL) or hardening and tempering (BN) for martensitic steels.



SURFACE CONDITION

Wire rod is supplied pickled or, if required, for particular end uses, sand blasted and pickled. On customer's request wire rod can also be supplied covered with salts for drawing.

PACKAGING

All coils are bound with four plastic strips and labelled with an identification tag reporting the following information: Customer, order no., Cogne grade, grade denomination according to customer's specifications or to the required standard, nominal size, heat no., lot no., coil no., net weight in kg. On customer's request plastic wrapping of each coil is available

CERTIFICATION

Test certifications comply with Euronorm EN 10204 3.1B and Euronorm EN 10088 for technical data; the compliance with other standards or specifications must be agreed upon when ordering.
