SPECIFICATIONS


Standard norms for stainless steel mechanical properties of bars are given in BS 6744:2001 and in ASTM 955-955M.

Concerning Italian norms (DM 09/01/96) refer to FeB44k norms, general term valid for low alloyed carbon steels for which the following is required
Typical yield strenghtfyk >= 430 N/mm2
Typical rupture strenghtftk >= 540 N/mm2
Ductility ratiofy/fyk <= 1,35
Elongation A5>=12%

For BS 6744:2001 the following stainless steels are covered for (EN 10088-1): 1.4301 - 1.4436 - 1.4429 - 1.4462 - 1.4501 - 1.4529
